Six-hundred Venturans enjoyed a classic Thanksgiving meal from from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Ventura Knights of Columbus, 36 Figueroa Street, to give thanks for our abundance and affirm ending the homelessness of our Ventura neighbors.  

The event was hosted by the Faith Communities Subcommittee of the Ventura Social Services Task Force ( "Dedicated to Ending Homelessness in the City of Ventura"), and chaired by Jesse Giglio, Community Life Pastor, Ventura Missionary Church (805.642.0550 or jessegiglio@gmail.com) with assistance from Jack Broms, MD, subcommittee chair.

The One City Thanksgiving was reported in the Ventura County Star, and in Councilmember Bill Fulton's blog.  

Government was represented by Supervisor Steve Bennett, Mayor Christy Weir and Councilmembers Neal Andrews and Bill Fulton, and the community was represented by nearly 200 volunteers plus several hundred citizens, all of whom deferred personal time to participate and show support for our One City!  The supporters listed below made it all financially possible!
